How to Plan the Ultimate Mermaid Birthday Party

There’s several trends these days when it comes to parties and one of them is the mermaid party theme. Did you know that the Mermaid Birthday Party theme doesn’t have to only be for summer time birthdays? All girls will love celebrating and pretending to be a mermaid for a day anytime of the year.

In today's post I have the Ultimate Mermaid Birthday Party planning ideas - from the mermaid outfit for the birthday girl to the amazing mermaid bath set (which I’m sure the mom will enjoy herself after the party planning is complete).

You likely remember me sharing about Craft My Occasion previously and her line of line of mermaid party supplies that she has created for children of color to help them develop a positive and loving self-image. Well, this mermaid party collection is now available and includes everything you will need to throw the best Mermaid Birthday Party Bash.

And, of course, the birthday girl would be ecstatic to have her very own Mermaid Party Outfit like this one from Belle Threads. It’s full of shimmer with the sequin top.

To top off the entire Mermaid Outfit are the prettiest Mermaid Lace Crowns from Love Crush Crowns that are handcrafted + sculpted from lace.

When the party is over - it's time to thank your guests for splashing by to party with you. These Mermaid Favor Tags are available in my Festive Fetti etsy shop and feature hand-painting on the fins and scales for extra shimmer and sparkle. They also come with the ribbon to they are ready for adding to the favor bags.

But, before the party starts you will want to invite the party guests over for a Mermaid Birthday Party "Shellebration". Bri of Half Pint Design has created this printable mermaid themed invitation as an instant download.

Having the perfect backdrop behind the dessert table or your Mermaid Cake is easy with this pretty Mermaid Inspired Fabric Garland from Giggle Living. There’s even sequins and pearls in between the fabric. Then, after the party, this garland can be used as a decoration on the wall in the birthday girls bedroom.

After all the party planning and celebrating the day of the party, the mom herself will need a little pampering of her own. So this amazing Mermaid Bath Set from Sunbasil Soap with soaps, bath bombs and scrub is just what she will need.

Now, the only thing left to get your Mermaid Birthday Party underway is to get your guest list together and plan on a splashing success with your Mermaid Party prep.

How to Plan the Ultimate Mermaid Birthday Party for Little Girls that want to be a Mermaid

A Vintage Airplane First Birthday Party Featured on The Bump

This week started out amazing as I found out that the Vintage Airplane First Birthday Party that was featured a while back was picked up for feature in an article on The Bump. They featured 13 Creative First Birthday Party Themes. You can see the entire Vintage Airplane Birthday Party photo here.

SEW CUTE Sock Monkey Party

We are delighted to end the week with this SEW CUTE Sock Monkey Birthday Party submitted by By Renee Hagloch of the Creative Orchard. Renee styled this event in honor of her son Allen's 2nd Birthday and centered the theme around his love of of monkeys. She came across a vibrant, colorful assortment of sock monkeys called Genuine Monkeez from Midwest CBK and knew they'd be the perfect inspiration for this event. There are SO many wonderful DIY projects and details seen throughout this party and Renee certainly made this celebration colorful, fun and kid-friendly. The printable invitation seen below can be purchased in her etsy shop by clicking {here}.

Leaf shaped fabric placemats ran in a line down each side of the table with multi-striped fabric shower curtains as tablecloths. Chair cushions were placed on the ground for comfort - SO cute!

Monkey cups were made from construction paper with circular paper punches glued around clear plastic cups. Colorful straws and a "Barrel of Monkeys" toy were added for extra 'flair'.

The dessert table featured yarn wrapped cardboard letters that spelled "SEW CUTE" hung from ribbon. The banana split bar was a guest FAVORITE with homemade vanilla ice cream, fresh bananas & lots of toppings.

A Vintage Robot Birthday Party Inspiration

We are ending the week with an {AWESOME} birthday party feature courtesy of Rebekah Dempsey from A Blissful Nest. The inspiration behind Logan's 2nd birthday party theme came from his dad's love for vintage robots and the desire to share them with his son. I just LOVE the bright color palate and all of the fun decorations that are used throughout this party. The wall hangings were actually mounted to foam board so they could be displayed in Logan's room after the party...what a great idea! Esmeralda of Sin City Sweets created the matching cake and Rebekah even added some colorful candy displays to represent the robots "nuts & bolts".

The birthday boy's favorite food is french fries so it was only appropriate to have matching cone cups for the kids to hold their snack. It looks like Logan is really enjoying his fries!

The cookies were baked by Poppy Bake Shop and adorned with custom robot fondant toppers from Two Sugar Babies. Don't they look delicious?

Logan's custom made shirt came from Planet Pudge and his dad created these AMAZING robot cutouts for the kids to have their picture taken with - SO cool!

If you are inspired by this Vintage Robot party theme and want to get started on one of your own, please visit the {shop} of A Blissful Nest where you can find all of these party goods and MORE!
