{Party Inspiration} A Berry Sweet Strawberry Shortcake Theme

Today I am so excited to share this "berry sweet" party inspiration with you from my dear friend Brenda of Best Wedding Sites {our sister-site} and Brenda's Wedding Blog. She wanted to create a memorable Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party for her adorbale daughter and some friends. With the creative styling help of Colleen from Bellisimo Weddings and Events, they did just that! The ideas + inspirations you see here will not only make for a great party experience for your little girl and her guests, but could also be easily transformed into a summer baby shower or welcome baby event.

Party theme colors were red, pink and bright green and Brenda designed personalized menus for each guest which also served as place cards for snacktime. {You can find similar products on her etsy shop Wedding Girl}

I love these simple centerpieces made from cut carnations placed in a teacup and the recycled glass milk bottles adorned with a decorative straw - such a great way to incorporate ordinary household items and add a little flair to your tablescape!

This adorable Strawberry Pillow from ArtSnack matches the party theme PERFECTLY and was used not only for decoration, but also for the hot strawberry toss game. Winners of the game were awarded goody bags filled with lip gloss and nail polish gift sets.

Colleen added this fun, pink tulle skirt to the craft table and the girls absolutlely LOVED it! They each were able to make their own necklace using colored crafts beads as well as these Strawberry Shortcake bottle cap charms from Keep Calm and Cap On. Having your little guests make a craft is a great way to keep them occupied while also giving them a special keepsake to take home from the event. I also have point out another great recyclable idea seen here as the crafting materials fit nicely into a re-used fruit cup container...Genius!

Balloons were weighted and placed into paper berry baskets filled with shredded pink paper and Colleen added two-tone pink tissue paper flowers to the backs of the chairs to add a special touch.

Before the party came to a close it was time for dessert, homemade strawberry cupcakes topped with naturally colored sprinkles from The Realist Mermaid. Everything was perfectly displayed on this cupcake stand from The Cupcake Tower that Brenda decorated using pink colored self-adhesive paper and a strawberry cut-out embellishment. The birthday girl even had her own special display for all of her yummy treats - the PERFECT ending to a "Berry Sweet" party!

Many thanks to Brenda and Colleen for sharing this inspiring party with our followers {XO}
