We are delighted to end this week with a lovely Butterfly Garden First Birthday Party thanks to Emily K Paperie. Emily styled this AMAZING event in honor of her daughter Liesl's special day and was inspired by the nursery mobile hung over her crib to create a butterfly garden party theme. With a decorating style of Contemporary Traditional - featuring clean lines, gorgeous details and a color palette of pink + mint with hints of lavender and yellow, this event is simply breathtaking. I am so impressed by all of the creative DIY touches that Emily added to this party to make it extra special, including the invitatons, pennant banners, high chair banner, food table tents, centerpieces and front door wreath. The soft pastel colors and floral arrangements are SO gorgeous!
Custom Butterfly and Number 1 cookies courtesy of Lori's Place - BEAUTIFUL!
It looks as though Liesl really enjoyed her party too - such a cutie pie!
Party planning advice from Emily:
“Planning a butterfly garden party in the spring time (near the Easter holiday) was oh-so fun, but also a little dangerous! Everywhere I went, I saw butterflies! I really had to resist the temptation to buy EVERYTHING I saw at Michaels, Party City, JoAnn’s, etc. My best tip is to start early – plan ahead! I slowly purchased the items for my party for about 4 months. If I saw something I thought could work, I would buy it and add it to my stash. Be patient – you will find good stuff! I also looked to Etsy for inspiration, and then ended up creating many of the things myself and tweaking them so they were perfect!” – Emily K.
